This post is regarding ports number which are being used for windows services as well applications.
Most Commonly used ports
TCP is the abbreviation of “Transfer Control Protocol” whereas UDP is the abbreviation of “User Datagram Protocol”. TCP and UDP are both the main protocols which are used during the Transport layer of a TCP/IP Model.

- Well-known ports range from 0 through 1023.
- Registered ports are 1024 to 49151.
- Dynamic ports (also called private ports) are 49152 to 65535.
