Microsoft concedes issues with the Start menu, Windows Search, and UWP apps, but denies that Windows Updates are to blame.

But in order to adjust, the corporation is putting less emphasis on a Windows update that is frequently to blame. According to Microsoft, upgrades to apps rather than a problematic update for Windows are to blame for the plethora of problems, which can affect both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
The Start menu, Windows search, and Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps “might not work as expected or might have issues opening,” according to a statement on the known issues and notifications page for Windows 11. When using Microsoft Office APIs to interface with Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, or Outlook Calendar, affected Windows devices may have corrupted registry keys or data. The business continues to forward its argument that a Windows upgrade is not at fault:
The installation of a Windows update will not fix the underlying Problem, but an update to an impacted software may make it visible.
To mitigate this issue, you can uninstall apps which integrate with Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Calendar. Updates to affected apps or guidance from the developer of the app might also be available.
Microsoft has not provided any information regarding the timeframe it is working to, despite the promise of a proper repair in a future release.
