This post is regarding User Naming Attributes .
User Naming
User naming attributes, such as logon names and security IDs, serve to identify user objects. Examples of user naming attributes include the cn, name, and distinguishedName attributes. A user object additionally has the user naming attributes listed below since it is a security principal object:
- userPrincipalName — the logon name for the user
- objectGUID — the unique identifier of a user
- sAMAccountName — a logon name that supports previous version of Windows
- objectSid — security identifier (SID) of the user
- sIDHistory — the previous SIDs for the user object
